This month, a paper examining illness-uncertainty, among rheumatology patients, was published in the Journal of Rheumatology, led by Dr. Zack Wallace of the MGH Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology with HPRIR faculty Dr. Lucy Finkelstein-Fox and Dr. Elyse Park as co-authors, and Daniel Hall as senior author.

It was found that, among patients with SARDs, illness-related uncertainty is correlated with levels of depression, anxiety, and sickness impact, as well as psychosocial needs. These findings also implicate the need for targeted interventions to address uncertainty and needs among subgroups of patients with different illness profiles. To read more click here.
